Remote DBA by the month
Pick the number of senior hours you expect to need each month. All three come with a named DBA, a named backup and a monthly report. Add 24x7x365 monitoring per server when nights and weekends matter.

Conditions
Business hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 Central European Time, excluding Dutch public holidays. Planned work outside those hours, such as a migration weekend, is charged at 150% of the applicable hourly rate on weekdays and 200% on weekends and public holidays, unless your retainer says otherwise. Unplanned out-of-hours incident response is available to monitoring customers through the on-call DBA.
We work remotely by default. On-site work in the Netherlands and Belgium is agreed in advance; travel time is charged at 50% of the hourly rate, plus mileage at the Dutch statutory rate.
Hourly work is invoiced monthly in arrears, per 15 minutes after the first hour of each job. Bundles are invoiced upfront and are valid for 12 months. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance, with a three-month initial term and one month's notice afterwards. Payment term 14 days. All amounts are in euros and exclude VAT.
Work starts once a named account and a secure connection are in place. We sign your NDA or provide ours, and a data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) when we process personal data on your behalf. How we handle access is described under how we work securely.
The amounts on this page are indicative and are confirmed in a written quotation for your environment, which is the document that applies. Rates are reviewed once a year, in January.
Questions about rates
Because planned hours are cheaper for us to deliver than a call on Tuesday afternoon that has to be fitted in. A bundle lets us schedule; a retainer lets one engineer learn your estate once instead of every time. We pass that on.
Bundle hours stay valid for twelve months. Retainer hours roll over one month, so a quiet month is not wasted and a busy one is covered. Hours beyond the retainer are invoiced at the bundle rate.
Yes, and most customers do exactly that after the first job. Hours already paid for at the hourly rate are not credited, but the retainer starts on the first of the next month with no set-up fee.
Yes. The 20-minute intro call and the 45-minute technical deep-dive are free and without obligation. The first invoiced hour is the first hour of actual work on your environment, agreed in writing beforehand.
No. A short written summary after every job and the monthly retainer report are part of the hours, not extra. Documentation is how the next person, or the next DBA, picks up where we left off.
